The Kalahari is central to the Kalahari Safaris experience. Our main area places you beside one of Botswana’s best-known wilderness landmarks, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, while your hunting takes place on the private hunting lands available to us.
The location of your hunt will depend on your chosen species and the arrangements for your safari. During planning, we will discuss the hunting areas that suit your goals and explain where you will stay.
Whether you are pursuing trophy kudu, eland, gemsbok, or other plains game, our main Kalahari base offers a place to begin and end each hunting day.

While our main lodge is based in the Kalahari, elephant and Cape buffalo hunting takes place in other areas around Botswana.
These safaris are organized around the hunting area and available quota for your chosen species. Your accommodation and travel arrangements may therefore differ from those of a plains game hunt based at our main lodge.
When planning your elephant or Cape buffalo safari, we will discuss the proposed location, camp arrangements, and any travel between hunting areas. Contact us well in advance so we have time to investigate availability and work toward securing the required hunting allocation.
Combining Hunting Areas in One Safari
If you are interested in both plains game and dangerous game, tell us at the start of the planning process.
We can explore whether a safari combining time at our Kalahari base with hunting in another Botswana area is possible for your intended dates. The itinerary will depend on your target species, available quotas, and the time needed to travel between locations.
