All while staying in the comfort of our exquisite lodge.

Generally, travelers tend to fly to Johannesburg (Windhoek airport is also an option) and then to Maun International Airport in Botswana. You will then be picked up by the Kalahari Safaris team and transported to the lodge.

We have full wifi coverage everywhere on camp.

Adaptors and chargers are available. However, we do recommend you bring your own ones also, due to the large differences in appliances and outlets in different countries.

The food we prepare will be a mixture of traditional and familiar dishes cooked by professional chefs to your liking. We often serve the game that was taken by our own clients – you will get to try a wide variety of the rich game meat we have available in Botswana.

All the field preparation will be done to your trophies by Kalahari Safaris in camp. We will then send your trophies to a trusted taxidermist which will be prepared for shipment to your home.

There are no mandatory vaccinations coming into Botswana, but Malaria does occur in some areas, so you might want to be cautious of that. It is recommended to consult your local travel clinic for the latest recommendations.

Yes, it is entirely legal for you to hunt with your Bow and Arrow in Botswana.

Yes, we have multiple high tower blinds at strategic locations near water holes on the grounds.

This depends mainly on what you will be hunting. It is most important to bring a rifle you are comfortable with, popular choices are the .243 calibers and 7mm for our plains game and 375 caliber as a minimum into the 40 calibers for our dangerous game. .

Firearm Licenses will be done by the Kalahari Safaris team before you arrive, make sure to let us know if you are planning on bringing firearms so we can arrange this for you.

Our general rate for Rifle renting is $50 per day per rifle and $8 a round.

You can not as a traveler into Botswana, so it is important that you bring necessary ammunition with you, you are allowed up to 100 rounds per caliber and should plan on bringing the max with you.

Yes, it is legal to bring a shotgun, however, no Automatic variants are allowed.

Botswana only has two seasons, hot, wet summers (October to April) and cold, dry winters (May to September). The temperatures tend to be very hot in the summer, often reaching 40℃ on warm days. In the Winter , the temperature tends to stay between 10 and 20℃.

If you are planning to visit in the aforementioned summer months, then rain gear is recommended.

Bring loose, short and cool clothes in the Summer as it can get very hot, as well as some rain gear. If you are planning to visit in the Winter, it is advisable to bring more insulated clothes and additional gear like beanies, balaclavas and gloves for protection against the cold things that can be taken off during the peak of the day seem to work best.Your clothes will be laundered each day so you will always have fresh clean clothes.

Hunting is permissible all year round on privately-owned areas like Kalahari Safaris. However, for the animals which are on quota in the concessions, the hunting season is open in winter – from April to September.

Wounded animals are generally counted to be the same as an animal that was killed. However, the professional hunter escorting you will do everything in his power to make sure that you get your trophy.

Yes, Botswana is the safest country in Africa, with a DPI rating which makes it safer than the UK and Spain. Attacks on tourists are extremely rare, so you are just as safe as anywhere else.
